Honoring Tina Modotti at the Museo Italo Americano

On September 14, 2018 the Tina Modotti Heritage Committee held an event celebrating the life and work of Tina Modotti, at the Museo Italo Americano in Fort Mason. The Museo is currently displaying some of Modotti's photographs, as part of their 40th Anniversary Permanent Collection exhibit (ongoing through January 27, 2019). At the event, we were fortunate enough to be joined by Lucía Sanromán, Director of Visual Arts at the YBCA, who read a selection of letters written by Tina Modotti.
